1979 album produced by Patrick Adams ‘Something More’ kicks off with the drama filled disco of ‘Pleasure Man’, a rolling non-stop dancefloor ride with Eddie Kendricks’ unmistakable falsetto repeating the title refrain. The mellow, mid tempo head nodder ‘No Wonder I Can’t Get Over You’ is a nice touch, as is the Philly touches on ‘I Can’t Let You Walk Away’. With most of the material aimed at the disco market the album is weighted in that soulful dance style but the slower tracks are worth exploring. Thr Leroy Burgess produced ‘I never used to dance’ is a rare groove dancer. This album originally only contained 7 tracks – this CD issue expands that to 11 with four bonus versions included.
