Pat Metheny and Christian McBride Drummer Antonio Sanchez has recorded an amazing contemporary Jazz album aided by some great musicians appropriately called ‘New Life’.’Uprisings and Revolutions’ is a beautiful deep Spiritual jazz workout that would have fit easily on a Nimbus or Strata East record. ‘Minotauro’ and the faster ‘Madusa’ follow a similar path. The 14 mins epic ‘New Life’ ft the voice of Thana Alexa and the keyboard led ‘Family Ties’ are also good. Really good deep Jazz album to get in to.
