British Saxophonist Sean Khan came to prominence with the SK Radicals in the late 90’s. ‘Muriel’ is probably his best album to date. Diane Martinez sings on the swinging slightly off beat ‘Things you Say’. Heidi Vogel scat vocals on the lovely melodic groove ridden ‘Samba Para Florence’(also check more up tempo remix by Henry Wu). Sabrina Malheiros fronts ‘Sister Soul’ a lilting mid tempo groove. Omar shines on ‘Don’t let the sun go down’ a gorgeous rhythmic groove track. Sean solo’s as it builds to a climax. He also plays on ‘Muriel’, ‘Trane’s Shadow’ and the interesting epic ‘What has jazz become?’ Another great Jazz album for 2015.
