Quality independent Soulful Vocal Jazz album from songbird Rajdulari, who also wrote and arranged most of the songs. The album benefits from excellent instrumentation throughout notably from Freddy DeBoe on Sax and Flute, Aaron Brooks-Roberts on Piano and Sam JC Lee on Bass. The style reminds me of early Dianne Reeves or Rachelle Ferrell. Most of the tracks are well crafted melodic songs like ‘Honey wine’, ‘Me and you’, ‘Wish you were here’ and the more rhythmic ‘America’. From My Heart To Yours’ has more tempo and swings hard and there’s a good version of ‘Blackbird’. Excellent debut.
