Snarky Puppy have established themselves as one of the top Jazz/Soul bands of their generation, with a run of great albums and incredible sell out performances. Family Dinner volume two features eight collaborations with guest singers and musicians, which cover a broad spectrum of music. Their fantastic musicianship is highlighted to the maximum in the near 11 minute epic ‘Don’t You Know’ ft Jacob Collier and Big Ed Lee, which has some lovely harmonies. Laura Mvula features on ‘Sing To The Moon’, Chris Turner adds his soulful vocals and vybe to ‘Liquid Love’, and Knower and Jeff Coffin feature on the funky soul groove ‘I remember’. Becca Stevens sings on the folk/soul ‘I Asked’, Susana Baca and Charllie Hunter feature on ‘Molino Molero’a mesmerising spiritual world music, and Salif Keita gives an African feel to ‘Soro (Afriki)’. Another outstanding album and DVD of the performance from Snarky Puppy at the top of their game.
