Fantastic southern soul album recorded with a full band - real strings and horns and female backing vocals, that is real throwback to classic 70's soul. Charles powerful and emotive soulful voice dominates each track but the backing is incredible. The covers of Natural 4 'Love That Really Counts', Sam Dees 'Troubled Child' and Bob Marley's 'Is This Love' are brilliant. The mid tempo 'I Don't Want To Take A Chance', 'Where My Baby Went' and ' I Want to Shout About' and the ballad 'Someone Must Have' are also very good. Excellent album, probably the best of its style for many years, which will appeal to lovers of real southern soul.
