‘Yeah’ was recorded in 1960 for Epic and features a quartet. The tenor man is joined by drummer Dave Bailey, bassist Peck Morrison and pianist Billy Gardner. ‘Yeah’ is a quality Bop session that swings especially on his own compositions such as ‘Lil Rousin’ and ‘Rouse’s Point’. He takes ‘You Don’t Know What Love Is’ into Getz/ Ike Quebec territory. ‘Stella By Starlight’ and Garner’s ‘Billy’s Blues’ are also great Jazz indicative of their era.
