1968’s ‘Welcome To My Love’ was arranged by Oliver Nelson and features the sultry orchestrated jazz ‘In The Heat Of The Night’ co-penned by Qunicy Jones, the smoky ‘You Don’t Know Me’, the supper jazz of ‘Why Try To Change Me Now’ and the beat heavy, Marlena Shaw-esq ‘Ode To Bailey Joe’. ‘Easy’ was also released in 1968 and includes the bossa feel of ‘Wave’, the lazy ‘Make Me A Present Of You’, the classy, swinging 60s jazz-soul of ‘Face It Girl, It’s Over’, the evergreen ‘The Look Of Love’, the dancer ‘The End Of Our Love’ and the L.A sounding ‘No Easy Way Down’.
