Conya Doss returns with her seventh album imaginatively titled ‘Seven’. Conya is in fine voice on this set of 12 Neo-Soul grooves, her best for a while. ‘You got me’ is a typically mid tempo upbeat groover with lovely layered vocals. ‘Love’s Not’ develops into a lovely lilting jazzy soul groove and is another highlight. The ballad duet ‘For Us’ features Frank McComb, the catchy ‘Gone’, mid tempo steppers ‘No stronger love’, ‘When we love’ and ‘Reach Out’ ft Lin Rountree are also strong tracks. A Really good Conya Doss album.
