Ronnie Dyson’s two 80s albums of one CD. ‘Phase 2’ from 1982 was produced by Bobby Eli and kicks off in fine style with the uplifting ‘Bring It On Home’. Musically the album sounds more late 70s than early 80s. ‘Brand New Day’ from 1983 includes the huge, Butch Ingram penned ‘All Over Your Face’ a strong club-soul cut popular at the time. Like ‘Phase 2’ this set also balances slower ballad material with uptempo moments like “”You Better Be Fierce” and “Don’t Need You Now”.
