Isaac Hayes’ former writing partner’s second album, recorded mostly in Muscle Shoals with the city’s great Swampers rhythm section and one that’s not been on CD before. Ace have included three extra tracks not on the original album, the standouts on this set are the great cover of Chuck Jackson’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Cry’ and the pleading ‘Thirty Days’: one for Isaac Hayes fans as well as those looking to explore another good southern soul album.
