Best of the Soul tracks are J J Barnes atmospheric ‘I Owe It All To myself’, Debbie Taylor ‘To Sad To Tell’, The Albert modern soul ‘One Life’ and Bobby Rydell ‘Honey Buns’. Fatback Band ‘Nija Walk’, Madhouse ‘ Get Some of This and Adam Wade/Johnny Pate ‘Brother’ give us the funk, and Dizzy Gillespie ‘Matrix’, Julius Brockington ‘Rock Steady’ and Joe Thomas ‘Chitlins and ‘Cuchifritos’ some funky jazz. Excellent comp.
