Soul Brother Records is a Music and Record Shop based in Putney, London, and is one of the leading Soul and Jazz specialists music stores in the world. 

The range of Soul , Funk and Jazz on CDs and Vinyl is unrivalled. Everything from the latest New Soul, New Jazz and Smooth Jazz to classic Soul, Funk, Disco and Boogie Funk is catered for plus some really rare Soul and Jazz titles. We have approx 5000 titles on CD and over 10,000 Vinyl albums, 12” singles and 45’s.

The full selection of soul music covers everything from Modern Soul, Southern Soul, ,  Rare Groove, 60’s Soul, 70’s Soul and 80’s soul and includes labels like Motown , Stax, Philadelphia International and many smaller independents.
The Jazz Selection covers Jazz Funk , Spiritual jazz, Fusion, Hard Bop and Modal Jazz covering labels like Blue Note , Prestige, Impulse, Verve, Atlantic etc.

We carry a large range of well known artists including James Brown, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, and an even wider range of titles by more underground soul and jazz heroes like Jean Carn, Leroy Hutson, Teddy Pendergrass, Maze, Donny Hathaway, Roy Ayers, Grover Washington, Lonnie Liston Smith.

The friendly and approachable staff  provide excellent customer service that is second to none, combined with an in-depth product knowledge and real passion for both Soul and Jazz.

Orders are sent First class recorded delivery (UK) or registered (overseas) , orders placed by 2.30pm are normally sent the same day.

ALBUMS OF THE WEEK - week ending 3rd Feb 2012 JONATHAN WINSTEAD - LOVESTRY - CD - JONATHAN WINSTEAD - NEW - £14.99 Nice well produced mellow soul album with good songs and featuring real instruments. Jonathan possesses a good smooth soul voice and his approach reminds me a little of Ty Causey. ‘Wake Up’ is a great tune, a lower mid tempo track that really grabs your attention. ‘Sexy Lady Love’ is an upper mid tempo and along with the interestingly constructed ‘Selfish’ are also highlights.
