Soul Brother Records is a Music and Record Shop based in Putney, London, and is one of the leading Soul and Jazz specialists music stores in the world. 

Products
The range of Soul , Funk and Jazz on CDs and Vinyl is unrivalled. Everything from the latest New Soul, New Jazz and Smooth Jazz to classic Soul, Funk, Disco and Boogie Funk is catered for plus some really rare Soul and Jazz titles.

The full selection of soul music covers everything from Modern Soul, Southern Soul, Rare Soul,  Rare Groove, 60’s Soul, 70’s Soul and 80’s soul and includes labels like Motown , Stax, Philadelphia International and many smaller independents.
We carry most CD releases on Soul Brother, Expansion, Kent, FTG, Vinyl Masterpiece, Wounded Bird, Soulscape , Shout, Reel Music and all the best independent and major labels. The Jazz Selection covers Jazz Funk , Spiritual jazz, Fusion, Hard Bop and Modal Jazz covering labels like Blue Note , Prestige, Impulse, Verve, Atlantic etc.

We carry a large range of well known artists including James Brown, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Stevie Wonder Marvin Gaye, Isaac Hayes, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin and more. We also have a wide arrange titles by more underground soul and jazz heroes like Jean Carn, Leroy Hutson, Marlena Shaw, Teddy Pendergrass, Maze, Donny Hathaway, The Whispers, Johnnie Taylor, Herbie Hancock, Grant Green, Roy Ayers, Grover Washington, Lonnie Liston Smith and even artists who only made a few individual records.

Vinyl
Soul Brother Records also specialise in vinyl with 10,000s of albums, twelve inch singles and seven inch singles in stock.  New, reissued and original collector’s vinyl is available on-line, via traditional mail order or in our physical Record Shop.
The shop has sections for Soul CDs, Jazz CDs, Soul vinyl LP’s and Jazz vinyl LP’s, Soul 45’s and 12” Disco Singles.

DVDs, magazines (Echoes, In The Basement, Record Collector, Mojo), Books and T Shirts are also available.

Catalogue
The Soul Brother monthly paper catalogue (over 200 published) highlights new releases, lists new vinyl arrivals.  There are special features on artists and labels too.  It provides customers with the most comprehensive choice of titles and for many it is the primary source for Soul and Jazz music.  This catalogue is supplemented by a weekly email shot.

The friendly and approachable staff  provide excellent customer service that is second to none, combined with an in-depth product knowledge and real passion for both Soul and Jazz. This is not just a connoisseur’s shop, the shop staff of Laurence, Malcolm, Johnny and Alex are always happy to assist, make suggestions and help with your selection.

Delivery
Orders are sent First class recorded delivery (UK) or registered (overseas) , orders placed by 2.30pm are normally sent the same day.
