Recommended releases of the week – 12th September 2014

New releases

Its a real bumper week for releases this week. Carmen Lundy as made another fantastic album ‘Soul to Soul’ which is set to be the Jazz Vocal album of the year. Thomas Motter follows up his Moon Base project with another good album ft LeNora Jaye amongst other vocalists. The Bobby Patterson due a couple of weeks ago is now in stock. Due to demand we have got a few more copies of  Samuel Jon Samuelson excellent Hildar Cd and LP in stock , if you missed it before grab it while you can.

Reissues

Strong reissues this week include Esther Phillips, Temptations, Johnnie Taylor and Willie Hutch and many great Jazz albums. Compilations include Under the Influence Vol 4 and Northern Soul film CD/DVD.

Pre-orders

We are now taking pre-orders for forthcoming new albums from Peter White, Raul Midon and Stanley Clarke band and our next single the first time on 45 for Bobby Wilson’s superb Modern Soul ‘Don’t Shut me out’ due at the end of Sept or early October.

Vinyl

For Vinyl collectors the Soul Talk remixes of Al Castellana and Limmie Funk excellent unissued late 70’s Soul 2 stepper ‘I Can’t turn you loose’ wont disappoint.
