New Releases
It is a bumper week for New Releases, Reissues and comps this week with nearly 40 new titles having arrived. Album of the week is the fantastic compilation ‘Bespeak Love’ showcasing independent artists from Portland Oregon , the highlight being Chris Turner ft Jarrod Lawson ‘ You Got Me’ one of the man of the moment’s most Soulful cuts to date. Kim Burrell serves up a really nice Gospel Soul album ‘A Different Place’ and Fourplay celebrate their 25th anniversary with a new album ‘Silver’.
Carmen Lundy’s fantastic ‘Soul To Soul’ our jazz album of 2014 is now back in stock on CD and released on a superbly crafted Double 180gm virgin vinyl pressing in a gatefold sleeve, Essential listening. There are also smooth jazz sets from Eric Marienthal & Chuck Loeb and Ken Navarro.
Masterpieces of Modern Soul volume 4 and Reaching Out Chess Records at Fame Studios are two strong compilations from the ever reliable Kent label. There are also great reissues from Rufus, Isaac Hayes, Gloria Gaynor and another 6 albums from War’s vast back catalogue., plus some great Jazz reissue CDs.
Vinyl reissues include the Otis Blue (180gm Blue Vinyl edition) possibly the best ever pressing of this classic back in stock, plus good titles from Cal Tjader and Floria Purim plus L:yn Colins all time classic ‘Think’ on 45.
Pre-orders
There are many good titles to look foward to in September and October, we have just put up fro pre-order Johnny Hammond ‘Gears’ with unreleased tracks on CD and Double 180gm vinyl, Jay Dee’s Barry White produced ‘Come on in love’ CD, Kamasi Washington ‘The Epic 3LP set and three great 45’s coming on Expansion.

Lindsey Webster in store tomorrow!
