New releases
Its a big week for releases with some great new albums and reissues. Kem ‘Promise to love’ (due in tomorrow) is another good album from the under-rated Soul singer, Shaun Escoffrey makes a welcome return and there are good new independent albums from Zanye and SuCh. Jazz Funk stalwarts Shakatak complete the new albums , but also check the Glen Goldsmith new 45 remixed by Soul Talk.
Reissues and comps
There are a lot of CD reissues this week mainly 80’s Soul and a great Jazz set that Roy Haynes recorded for Mainstream in the early 70’s. Also plenty of good compilations with Spiritual Jazz Vol 5 and Dj Snowboy presents the good foot being the best, both also on Vinyl. T
New Vinyl releases
There are some very strong 45 reissues this week with 3 monster Disco/Modern Soul tracks on Athens of the North and 2 wicked late 60’s Northern/Crossover unissued sides from the Up Tights on Soul 7.
