New Releases and reissues

We are delighted to announce that the Rhonda Thomas CD Vinyl Daze has finally arrived, and what an album it is, definitely the best new Soul album of the year so far, and it will be a strong contender for album of the year. The album will be available exclusively from Soul Brother for the UK. The Bill Dickens and Fresh Cut orchestra Cds have also just arrived. All orders will be despatched today. Apologies for the delay due to the courier losing the original parcel.

There are strong jazz albums from Marcus Miller, Kirk Whalum and Pieces of a dream keyboardist James Lloyd. CD reissues include Tavares, Bobbi Humphrey (including her version of Lover to lover), and a Johnny Mathis Philly collection. Compilations include the Mar-V-Lus label, Groove Revolution and Disco Giants 12, plus 80’s Soul classics vol 6 is back in stock.

New vinyl

For Vinyl collectors we have found a few more copies of Donny Hathaway Live at the Bitter End RSd LP,

and St Germain Tourist, these are very limited. There are good 180gm reissues of classic albums including The O’Jays magnificent Ship Ahoy’. There is also a new Valdons 45.Also check this list of original 45’s , great records in fantastic condition at reasonable prices.

Tristan and Heston in store tomorrow (Saturday 21st March)

Jarrod Lawson at the BBC LP is due next week , if you haven’t already reserved your copy you can pre-order it here.

Record store Day

Record store day is only a month away i hope to see as many of as possible in the store on Saturday 18th April . We have some great releases on our own label and many more and Cecilia Stalin will be in store at 3pm signing copies of her Story of love 12″ RSD EP.

Flood in the store

Unfortunately we suffered a major flood from the flat above last Saturday which wiped out our server and internet connection. This affected the service that we have been able to provide on internet orders earlier in the week, but we are back up straight now.
