Its the best week of the month so far for new releases.
Tyrone Hendrix Rhythm on life CD has finally arrived, its another real winner from Portland Oregon featuring Jarrod Lawson, Saeeda Wright, Farnell Newton and many others. O’Jay’s legend Eddie Levert returns with a solo album, R&B/Soul singer Dave Hollister album has some good soul cuts and saxman Paul Taylor makes a good smooth jazz album.The Louie Vega Starring XXV111 LP Vol 2 is arriving on Monday, and the CD should be back next week as well.
There are two good compilations , Greg Belson’s ‘Devine Disco’ a superb gospel disco set featuring from 1974-84.and the Grasso Brothers certainly know how to boogie listening to their compilation.
The Betty Davis Columbia years CD is finally in stock, the LP should be next week.Lee Moses hard to find ‘Time and Place’ album has a very limited vinyl repress on Light in the Attic.

Pre-order for some great albums coming later in the month including Ashley Smith, Robert Glasper Experiment , Soul Togetherness 2016, Spirit of Philadelphia vol 4 and Mark Murphy anthology on Soul Brother. Ronnie Canada of Caviar popped in store
Caviar ft Ronnie Canada had one (now in demand and rare) 45 issued in 1982 ‘Never stop loving you’ . Ronnie passed by the store yesterday with a couple of unplayed original copies of the 45 from his collection which we are pleased to offer here.
He actually recorded an album which was un-isssued at the time but has now been released as a very limited edition LP, we have a small quantity available so please order early to avoid disappointment. You can see pictures of Ronnie’s visit here.

A fantastic collection of rare Boogie 12″ has just arrived at Soul Brother. There are many titles that we have never seen before among them. All titles are one off’s so please order early to avoid disappointment.
