NEW ARRIVALS
We have the best week of the year for new releases this week. Omar returns with Love in beats a fine set available now on CD, the Vinyl has been delayed until early March due to a production problem.360 Band feature member of the Average White band and their album ‘Three Sixty’ has an AWB feel to it. new soul singer Aaron Abernathy (A.B) you may remember from his previous album about 10 years ago.
Vibration Black Finger is a killer heavy jazz fusion album in the style of Bitches brew, only available on LP featuring former BNH member Lasalles James. Fourplay Bassist Nathan East returns with a new solo album.
REISSUES
There are some good reissues from Afro-funkers Matata, A Vinyl reissue of the rare Tomorrows People album which is in very limited supply, New Orleans Funk vol 4 is now in on CD. The brilliant Beauty -A Journey Through Jeremy undergrounds collection is now in on Double Vinyl., and Mario Biondi’s Superb Handful of Soul gets a special double vinyl edition with as bonus CD.
There are some great singles. Athens of the North hit pay dirt again with a great 12!” from BAB ‘Party and get on down’ and the catchy Frazelle ‘Today is the Day’ both of which are both very limited. We have some more copies of the excellent Arnold Blair ‘We almost made it’ 45 . Soul Junction have a great reissue Modern Soul 45 Robert Montgomery ‘I need you girl’ . Sauce 81’Dance tonight is a lovely new retro early 80’s track from Floating Points. Brass Horizon is the latest 45 from Super disco edits and Edith Peters ‘This is the moment’ gets a Gerardo Frisina mix.

ALBUMS OF THE YEAR
