The music of Michael Kiwanuka sits at the cusp of Soul and Folk , his second album ‘Love & Hate’ has a more soulful approach is lyrically strong and well worth checking out, check out the 10 minute opener ‘Cold little heart’. Joey Negro and Z records score again with ‘Under the Influence vol 5’ compiled by Sean P and features some great underground disco and club tracks.

Reissues – Vinyl and CD
There are some great vinyl re-issues this week with coloured 180gm limited editions of classic Ohio Players albums and Leon Ware’s all-time classic ‘Musical Massage’. Great 45’s as well with Wood Brass and Steel’s debut non-album funky 45 ‘Hey what you say’ backed with their great version of ‘Always There’ , Jeff Perry ‘Call on me’ with instrumental flip and the brilliant in demand Charisma Band 70’s modern soul monster ‘Ain’t nothing like your love’. Outta Sight have three great compilation LP’s, two superb Northern Soul sets from Blackpool Mecca and Wigan Casino and a vinyl version of Soul on the Real side vol 2, and there are a limited quantity of the Eleanore Mills 180gm LP’s available without the RSD 45.
There is also a selection of classic 50’s and early 60’s Jazz and Blues on CDs.
