New releases
Snarky Puppy follow hot on the trail of their recent Family Dinner Vol 2 Cd and DBL LP with their first studio album in a decade. Culcha Vulture is a brilliant instrumental album showcasing the inventiveness and musicianship of the members of this incredible band. Gregoire Maret is a new name to us but this French Harmonica player has pulled together some great artists including Frank McComb, Dianne Reeves, Terri Lyne Carrington and others to make superb Jazzy soul album.
Tristan’s album ‘Lifestyle’ is now available on vinyl with a different vocal on one of the tracks from the CD. Veteran Fusion band The Yellow Jackets are back with another album ‘Cohearance’.
Reissues and comps
Gilles Peterson Magic Peterson sunshine is a superb compilation from the MPS label now on vinyl as well as CD. There is a great double Cd’s Best of the Emotions covering their Stax and Columbia periods. Gloria Gaynor, Nancy Wilson and the Pointer Sisters have reissue CDs.
Anita Baker , Johnnie Taylor, and Baby Huey have 180gm Vinyl reissues. There are also a number of Miles Davis 180gm reissues to tie in with the film. Also the Northern soul story and Diggin Deeper
compilations are out on 180gm double LP’s.
45s and 12s
There are great 45’s from McCrei, an unreleased cut from Mighty Fire, and a couple of good modern/northern covers from Dutch group The Mighty Typhoons., and a reissue of Foster Jackson’s rare underground disco/boogie 12″.

Many thanks for all your orders for Record Store Day product , we have caught up with shipping everything except the Orders with Eleanore Mills LPs. The replacement for the mis-pressed 45 will be with us today and we will ship all the orders we can today after opening them and swapping the 45 over, the rest will ship on Tuesday. We still have limited quantities of most of the exclusive soul, jazz and reggae releases which you can view here, but many are running low so grab the ones you want now before they are all gone.

Billy Paul – R.I.P
We are sad to learn of the passing of Billy Paul , those of you who were with us will remember him performing at the luxury soul weekender in 2004. ‘Going east’ was a highlight for me , beautifully spiritual. Malcolm has written a tribute here and we have many of his key albums on Cd available here.
