New releases
Foreign Exchange music really have created their own unique sound. Phonte and Eric Roberson serve us up a portion of ‘Tigalerro’ that illustrates their brand of Soul music. Keith Sweat has delivered what is probably his best album since his debut 30 years ago. Sharon Jones has been one of the leading female singers over the past 15 years her pure energy and raw funk has sets her apart. There is a film about her life being released Miss Sharon Jones’ and as a Daptone Authorised Dealer we have copies of the very limited edition Soundtrack CD available, which includes an un-issued track. Bob Baldwin gives a beautiful summer album ‘The Brazilian Amercian Soundtrack.
7″ Singles
There are some great 45 releases this week. Aged in Harmony ‘s 3 rare Modern Soul 45’s are collected in a nice 3 x 45 pack with a fanzine. This is limited edition release is already selling very fast, grab your copy now as this will sell out quickly. There is the 2nd volume of the Chess Northern Soul 45 Box Set, plus the first time on 45 for Betty Boo Northern Soul stomper ‘Spellbound’, and a from new Daptone/Duunham male harmony group the Sha La Das.
Reissues
Reissue Cds this week include some more of the lovely Mini LP sleeve remastered Cds from Johnny Bristol, Lou Rawls, The JB’s and Ramsey Lewis, plus a great double Cd from the Chess vaults ‘Black Gold’
Ropeadope delay
Please accept our apologies for the delay in receiving the new Ropeadope titles from Tyrone Hendrix, Edgewood Agents, Southwes terminal, Winston Byrd, Trio Subtronic, Future Prospect plus restocks of Snarky puppy We like it here. The shipment was due last week but delayed due to a manufacturing problem on two of the titles. We were hoping it would arrive today, but it may be early next week. Your orders containing these items will be despatched to you the day the shipment does arrive.

R.I.P Bobby Hutcherson
We are sad to learn of the passing this week of Bobby Hutcherson, the great Vibesman made many great albums and has influenced many current players including Warren Wolf. A full obituary will be on the sire next week.
