Compiled by Freestyle’s Adrian Gibson, ‘Music For Jazz dancers’ lives up to its title.  The CD kicks off with the barnstorming ‘Cherokee’ by Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination And Brass featuring the exquisite scat of Dianne Reeves.  Mario Coninge’s ‘Kon Djab Djigidi’ hits a fast Salsa inspired groove.   Colman Brothers’ ‘Sem Amor’ zips along with big band horns, Marcos Ariel’s ‘Samba Torto’ sustains the pace and the Latin vibe.  Brian Lynch/ Eddie Palmieri  Project has a Horace Silver feel.  Try also the break-neck paced ‘Hi-Fly Stomp’ from the Hi Fly Orchestra.
