This excellent spiritual Jazz compilation from BGP focuses primarily on early 70's tracks from Prestige and Milestone. Joe Henderson contributes two wicked cuts 'Tress-Cun-De-O-La' and 'Fire', the latter with Alice Coltrane. The album includes classic like Gary Bartz's 'I've Known Rivers' and Norman Connors' 'Mother Of the Future' featuring Jean Carn. Jean also sings on Azar Lawrence's superb 'Bridge Into The New Age'. Bayete's 'Free Angela' and Idris Muhammad 'Peace' are wicked cuts. The tracks are united in having glowing basslines and reflect a post civil rights optimism mixed with the air of liberation and righteousness. One of the best Jazz comps this year.

Excellent 1983 album recorded in Philadelphia by the Ingram family. 'Would You Like To Fly' is a nice mid tempo rare groove, DJ's Delight' a pulsating instrumental floor filler and 'No One' a good modern soul dancer. 'Something Groovin', 'We Like To Do It' and 'Groovin On Groove ' are all good 80's dancers, and the bonus track the rare groove classic 'Mi Sabrina Tequana' is a percussive bass led semi instrumental with backing vocals.

Good compilation of Tommy Stewart productions dating from 1973-81. Incl his classics 'Bump and Hustle Music' and 'Fulton County line' along with many rare 12” that he produced.
