| RECOMMENDED NEW SOUL REISSUES AND COMPS - APRIL 2010 |
NATURAL FOUR – NATURAL FOUR/HEAVEN RIGHT HERE ON EARTH CD £12.95
Two great albums of harmony group soul recorded for Curtom in 1974 and '75, produced by Leroy Hutson and Rich Tufo. 'Can This Be Real ' is a really good harmony ballad, 'You Bring Out The Best In Me' a mid tempo shuffler and 'Try Love Again' an orchestrated 2 stepper. 'What's Happening Now' and 'Things Will Be Better Tomorrow' are social commentary mid tempo's. 'Heaven Right Here On Earth'
is a quality Hutson track, 'Count On Me' a nice 2- stepper and 'Give Love A Try' a great ballad.
Bonus tracks incl their cover of Curtis 'Eddie Should Have Known Better' and the dancers 'I Think I Found That Girl' and 'Get it Over With'. Classic Sophisticated 70's soul.
