18 mainly unreleased tracks produced by Weldon McDougall 111 in Philadelphia. includes his group Universal Love modern soul classic 'Its You Girl' and their late 70's uptempo grooves 'Were Gonna Rock This Place' and 'Moonride'. Sharon Paige 'Rain' is a good modern soul ballad and her 'Lies' is a great uptempo Modern /Northern track that was released briefly in the UK as Gwen Owens. The mid tempo 'Keep On Believing' by an unknown artist has great raw vocals, and 3P's 'What Cant You Be Nice To Me' and Lou Gordon 'Sweet Memories' are classic Philly Ballads recorded at Sigma.

Great compilation comprising 12 extremely rare independent spiritual and modal jazz tracks recorded from the late 60's to the mid 70's. The modal tracks are James Tatum 'Introduction' , Lloyd Miller's eastern influenced 'Gol E Gandom', Morris Wilson Beau Bailey qt 'Pauls Ark' and Salah Ragab /Cairo Jazz Band 'Neveen' reflect the style of jazz that Impulse made popular at the time. The more Spiritual jazz workouts are Ndikho Xaba and the Natives 'Nomusa' (ft Plunky on sax , the group evolved into Oneness of Juju) ,Positive Force/Ade Olatunji 'Afrikan In Winter' (with spoken word) and Hastings St Jazz Experience 'Ja Mil' (ft Phil Ranelin and vocals from Kim Weston). Frank Derrick 'No Jive' is a jazz track with a funky rhythm and Ohio Penitentary 511 Jazz Ensemble 'Psych City' is a horn led groove.
