VARIOUS - GOOD THINGS

Florida label Saadia is renowned amongst Funk 45 collectors and listening to this compilation it is not hard to tell why. 10 cuts that ooze Funk like Robert Moore's riff dripping 'Everything's Gonna Be Alright' and Brother Williams take on JB's 'Cold Sweat' set the tone. Little Beaver contributes 4 tracks including the horn driven 'Everybody's Got Some Dues To Pay' and the James Brown tinged 'Do It To Me One More Time'. Check also Robert Moore's incessantly funky 'Can't Help Myself'.

{short description of image}VARIOUS ARTISTS SNOWBOY PRESENT AFRO CUBAN KALEIDOSCOPE
Excellent 14 track selection compiled by Snowboy that brings together Afro Cuban gems from the Fania, Alegre and Tico labels. Most of the tracks were popularised in the late 80's on the then burgeoning Jazz dance scene at venues like Dingwalls, and they retain an urgency and joi de vivre that is irrepressible. Sabu's 'The Oracle', Tito Puente's '110th Street And 5th Avenue', Bobby Valentin's 'Zip Zap' and Tico Alegre All Stars' 'Titos Oddessey' are just some of the delights on offer.
