Vibrant new jazz and soul album from Italy, featuring some great musicians and the voices of Miss Baby Sol and Alan Farrington. 'Destination' has a shuffling driving beat, walking bass line, off beat vocals and a good vibes solo from Pasquale Mirra who stars throughout. 'Blue Soul' is a chilled out neo-soul head nodder, 'African Freedom' has an incessant beat that builds to a crescendo with great solos. 'Naja Haje' and 'Hot Pot' are good uptempo jazz instrumentals. Really good album that takes a couple of spins to really get into.

Flautist Claudia Hayden has recorded a real gem with 'Abstract'. Based on Jazz Funk grooves, the set has both a contemporary and old school feel at the same time. From the intense 'Angola' to the fluid riff-laden 'So Claudia' the set is full of great grooves. 'Harlem bound' has a unworldly and eerie feel and 'Playdate@621' is a funky slice of Fusion. 'Dreamweaver' is another mystical groove with Hayden's flute on point. In addition to flute playing, Hayden is the composer, arranger and producer.
